Well, Lola hit gig 50 on 05/05. Coincidence? Yeah, probably.
Anyway, when I told the boys that I started a journal at home (yeah, a real pen on paper/book/journal) they said that I should create a blog, so here I am! And believe me, that in itself is quite a journey for me.

Okay, here goes ~

5/5/07
Anthony's in Parma had our "resident drunk" for the evening. He was a friendly drunk. Wanted to be everyone's buddy for the evening. We'll call him Larry ('cause that's his name). According to Larry, he's a songwriter. His favorite song that he just composed is called "this nasty bullshit". We did not invite him to come up and sing with us. Go figure.
It's always fun to catch snippets of conversations as I walk past groups of people during our breaks. My favorite snippet of the evening has got to be "watch your fucking mouth".
For some reason, we were not on their entertainment schedule for the evening. However, that wasn't pointed out to us until mid-gig. Then I started wondering if they had this image of us just driving around town with all the equipment until we happened upon a bar with no band, so that we could set up residence for the night.
It could happen...

We had gigs in between now and then, but I've either been on vacation or the gigs were too late for a school night for me. No, I'm not still in school. I call all week nights school nights. No, I'm not 85 and need my rest. I just have to get up at the butt crack of dawn for work and I get a wee bit cranky if I don't get my 4 hours of sleep each night. SO THERE!

Now that we're all up to date (that would be today, 5/31), we were supposed to have a gig tonight, but it was cancelled because of the Cav's game. Stupid, stupid, stupid basketball.
I wanted to sing Blue Moon tonight just because I thought it would be oh so too very clever since it's not just a full moon, but also a "blue moon" (2 full moons in one month).
We recorded some songs for our new CD instead. Yeah, a CD - how great is that? It's due out in July, so it should be a good present for anyone who does Christmas in July.

Okay, that's pretty much it for now. Stay tuned for more exciting and/or amusing adventures of Project Mojo.
