6/21 - The LaPorte Inn
Happy 1st day of summer! The moon was very cool tonight. I noticed it when I was coming home. It looked like a picture. It was a big old half moon, kind of yellow gold. But, I do digress...

The gig finally took off during the last half. People got up to dance and started to really get into the music and have fun.

They have $3.75 pitchers of beer. We couldn't figure out why the place wasn't packed just for that reason alone. There were only a handful of people there.

Joel was there! He's a big sweetheart. We missed Shirley being with him tonight, but we sang for her anyway.

And it was Diana's birthday. She was one of the chicks at the bar. She was very bendy. When we sang our version of Happy Birthday, she actually did the somersault and the cartwheel across the floor. She also did the splits, but that wasn't part of the song. C-Man asked her why she didn't put her legs behind her head, as requested in the song and she told him that she would have, but she didn't hear him say that. GEESH! He'll probably never be the same.

We did a Rasta version of a couple songs. That was fun. Too bad we didn't have our Rasta Man dancer from Scorchers there tonight. He definitely would have been into it.
